UNIVERSITY OF WALES UK (3+0) HONOURS DEGREE

Founded by Royal Charter in 1893, the University of Wales is the degree-awarding both for the great majority of higher education students in Wales, as well as for many at other higher education institutions in the United Kingdom and Overseas.
The University is the degree-awarding authority not only for these Accredited and Affiliated Institutions, but also for some 130 other higher education Institutions both within the United Kingdom and overseas with which it also enjoys close links. Annually it awards around 15,000 initial degrees and more than 4,000 higher degrees, making it the second largest degree- awarding body in the United Kingdom . The number of students, from all over the world, pursuing University of Wales degrees is more than 80,000, and their studies cover almost the full range of subjects.
While it is, of course, committed to helping to fulfill the educational and economic needs of Wales and to supporting its linguistic, cultural, and national heritage, the University is also committed to its international role and to enhancing its standing across the UK and overseas.

| BACHELOR OF ARTS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (HONOURS) |
In today’s competitive global market place, to be successful, it is essential to have the necessary professional skills as well as thorough knowledge of business administration. This three-year full time/part-time program provides a broad understanding of business skills, while specializing in the selected major. Whichever major the students choose, they will be expected to have a basic foundation in all aspects of business. The broad education offered by this curriculum permits the student an exhaustive range of employment opportunities in business and industry. In the first 18 months students will study main areas relevant to business administration. After completing the first 18 months the student may choose to major in:
Marketing, Human Resource Management or Accounting & Finance, which could also be completed within 18 months.

| Assessment |
| Assessment is carried out using a combination of examinations and assignments. In order to be awarded the Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration (Hons) students are required to pass all modules and submit a dissertation. |

The Online Library (www.library.wales.ac.uk) provides students on the University of Wales validated programs with a dedicated virtual library service. This innovative concept takes advantage of the growing number of publishers making their publications available on the Internet. The Online Library provides students with a wide range of full-text peer- reviewed resources, and students can access those resources anywhere in the world via the Internet. The resources have been evaluated for their quality and for their relevance to University of Wales validated courses. The Online Library has been designed so that all resources are organized by subject, with each one containing a mixture of databases, E-Journals, E-Books and other useful gateways and links.
